Dr. Paola Alberti, MD, PhD, is a postdoctoral research fellow at University of Milano-Bicocca (UNIMIB).
Her main field of interest is Chemotherapy Induced Peripheral Neurotoxicity (CIPN) at clinical and preclinical level. She is an active member of the Toxic Neuropathy Consortium (TNC), part of the Peripheral Nerve Society (PNS).
Since August 2016 she is consultant Neurologist at San Gerardo Hospital (ASST Monza, Italy).

Research and professional experience: her main field of interest is Chemotherapy Induced Peripheral Neurotoxicity (CIPN) at clinical and preclinical level. She is an active member of the Toxic Neuropathy Consortium (TNC), part of the Peripheral Nerve Society (PNS). Since August 2016 she is consultant Neurologist at San Gerardo Hospital (ASST Monza, Italy): she is the treating physician for outpatients affected by CIPN (“Ambulatorio di Fragilità Neurologica”).
Publications: she authored di 65 publications on peer-review international journal; ID scopus: 7103068082, H-index 25, 2000 citations since 2010.
Positions and honors: co-chair of the CIPN working group of the “Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer” (since 2020); member of the web committee (since 2020) and of the Junior committee (since 2021) of the PNS, and ex-officio (non-voting) member of the board of the TNC (since 2021); member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Molecular Science (since 2020); responsible of human anatomy teaching courses at UNIMIB since 2016 and at Lunex University (Luxembourg) since 2020.
